Google Adds Prescription Lens Upgrade for Glass HUD

Tech heads with not-so-perfect vision would be very happy with today’s announcement regarding Google’s smart glasses.

The search giant is now offering a $225 upgrade to Google glass, which allows Google Glass Explorers to add optional prescription lenses. The unassuming lenses will be bound by titanium frames with four different styles – curve, thin, split and bold.

The Glass eyepiece is then attached to the frame using several screws. Google has also added two shades for those who want to take their glasses outdoors. Moreover, Google will also be working with an optical insurance provider in the US to offer subsidized frames and lenses to qualified consumers.
